FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the demo version and the full application of EasyTicketScan?

The demo version of EasyTicketScan is free and allows you to scan up to 20 tickets before prompting for an upgrade. The full version has a one off-cost and allows you to scan an unlimited amount of tickets.

Can I run EasyTicketScan on more than one device?

Yes, but each device needs to download the application. Event data is localised to individual devices, so though you can load the same event on two devices they won’t show each other’s scanned ticket information.

Does EasyTicketScan create my event tickets?

No, EasyTicketScan is a ticket validation application you need to create your barcodes and print these on your tickets independently.

Can I have more than one event set up in EasyTicketScan?

Yes, EasyTicketScan supports multiple events which is particularly useful if you want to preload a device with a number of events. However you can only scan tickets for one event at a time.

The event venue has no WiFi, can I still use EasyTicketScan?

You initially need a network connection to import the event data on to your device. However, once the file is on the device all the data is held locally and therefore for scanning you won’t need any network connection.

We have an issue with people duplicating tickets can you help with this?

EasyTicketScan notifies you if a ticket has already been scanned for an event, the user then has the choice of whether they want to accept or reject the duplicate scan. However, be aware that if you have the application running on more than once device the event data is localised to an individual’s device. Therefore, if the duplicate ticket went through a different device the duplication would not be identified.

How can I see how many people attended my event?

There are a number of ways you can do this, when scanning tickets a running total is available in the Event Summary. When scanning has finished the Event List screen shows stats for each event. You can also export the event information, useful if you wish to conduct analysis on your event such as how many tickets were scanned after the event start time.

What happens if my device crashes when I’m in the middle of an event?

All the data is stored locally so everything up until your device failure is saved. When you reopen the application, you pick up from where you left off. You can double check the last ticket scanned on the Ticket Scanning screen in the “Last Ticket Scanned” section.
